Big Pauper has been working on creating a collection of virtual instruments based on the world-renowned circuit bent electronic instrument designs of Arius Blaze & Ben Houston of Folktek. After over one year in the making and utilizing over 30 grand worth of gear, the Token Recluse outfit is proud to offer you the Folktek Collection volume one. It features sixty five high quality sample based virtual instruments utilizing Native Instrument's awesome software-sampler, Kontakt. Folktek is responsible for cultivating a unique and cutting edge sound. The Folktek Collection Volume One gives the producers working in avant garde, ambient, dance, electronic, noise and soundtrack their cutting edge sounds for a fraction of the price (Folktek instruments go from anywhere in between 400 and 4000 dollars). Come & visit the web site they had built for the occasion... you can check out sound samples, download demo instruments & buy your copy from what is the beginning of the New Folktek Site. CLICK HERE

One of only a few goodnight kisses left from the ol' Token Recluse label. Big Pauper coming at you with a free unannounced three-track EP of symphonic ambeince and noise. "First Month, Second Trimester" is like an epic new age cassette melting on a sun-bleached dashboard somewhere. It follows the alleged Cynthia through her short but eventful two months in the womb. "Valor In To Dreams" reminds me of how dope the circuit bent medium is. Unwieldy and unpredictable, this one is not for the faint of heart. The album closer "Runaway Bunny" is a serene moog piece with written symphonic accompaniment featuring the beloved Shannon Steele playing the violin parts and also featuring three very talented cellists. Don't forget that Big Pauper has both a FREE mini-lp (October) & full length LP (February) coming out from Circle Into Square.
